The Bellarmine University track field competed at the UIndy Relays on Friday and Saturday, while Robert Sandlin, Jr., went to Notre Dame to compete in the "Meyo" mile, arguably the most elite college mile race in the nation.
Sandlin was up to the challenge, running a 4:01.20 mile to finish sixth in the race full of some of Division I's top competitors. The time not only shattered his own school record by four seconds, but it was the fastest mile recorded at the DII level this year. (Two other times are listed as faster, but those have been altered due to altitude.)
