Chinwe Okoro, senior at Russell High School, agreed yesterday to become a University of Louisville Cardinal next year. She signed her National Letter of Intent on November 15, 2006 at Russell High School.
Okoro won the Shot Put at the AAU Junior Olympics National Meet this past summer with a 42-02 throw. She set the Class AA State Record in the Shot Put with her victory at the 2004 Class AA State Track Meet. She has a career best of 42-04 in the Shot Put and 130 in the Disc. She has also competed in the triple jump and on the 800 Meter Relay team at the State Meet in high school.
