Butler Senior Tretez Kinnaird finished third in the 800m Run at New Balance Indoor Nationals today. He was in third through 400m with the group splitting 54.5. He surged to the front with 300 to go. He opened up a solid lead with 200 to go, but was passed by Chris Ibarra at the line. Tretez ran 1:51.50 for second in his heat just .1 behind the winner. The National Champion ended up coming from the morning heats with Nathan Kiley winning with a 1:51.37.
This was Tretez Kinnaird second time earning All-American honors, he was an Outdoor All-American in 2011.
