Missing pieces & parts doesn't slow down the Carmel Greyhound bus Brandon Miles Sep 13, 2014

Always a meet that teams in Indiana get excited for as runners across the board post PR's and season bests on this fast 5K course.  The Brown County Eagle Classic featured the nationally ranked Carmel boys and girls as while neither team appeared to be at full strength as the boys finished second behind Columbus North, the Carmel girls without their top two runners in Harris sisters (Haley and Kelsey) did not skip a beat placing 5 runners in the top 15 places for a winning team score of 37 points.

KYtrackXC.com Power 10 Jonathan Grooms Sep 30, 2011

KYtrackXC.com Power 10 – September 30, 2011 These are the top best teams and individuals in the state of Kentucky regardless of school classification. These are not your typical rankings in the sense because without classes the KY State Meet would have more depth so a team’s 5th place runner in Class AA who normally scores well enough with a 18:00 is suddenly too far back to matter in a one class system.  The need for top runner is similar, that is obvious it is just on an exaggerated scale.

From Last to First David St. Louis Dec 20, 2010

She finished last. Dead last. It wasn’t really close either. She finished 76 seconds behind the second-to-last competitor and over 5000 meters that is a significant distance. It’s more significant when it’s at the Foot Locker National Championships, where distances are covered faster than ever as the country’s best harriers all convene for one race each year to decide a champion. It wasn’t supposed to end this way for Emma Brink, though it never is for any qualifier at Foot Locker, yet in crossing that finish line with the slowest time on the day, Brink may have left an equally important mark on the race for many of her fans and peers.
