The race will be held on our normal course. The starting line will be on the practice soccer field, to the left when you enter the school grounds. Varsity will run 2 laps and finish on the soccer field at the bottom. Middle School AND Elementary will run one lap (2.5K) and finish on the soccer field at the bottom as well. This is a change for elementary from years past. Since it is less than a 3K, we want to make sure that elementary runners are more prepared for 3K's they will be expected throughout the season.
Bus parking will be in the teachers parking lot, close to the start until it is full. Then busses will use the regular parking lot behind the school. Cars will use the student parking lot behind the school.
Tent City will be marked, and will be in the same spot as years past along the starting field.
T-Shirts and Concessions will be available for sale.
Admission: There will be a $5 fee per car, not individual spectator. Coaches, please make sure that your parents know this information ahead of time to help the flow of traffic. Athletes will cross our drive at one point, which will pause traffic until they clear the crossing.

Awards following the end of the last race.
*Rolling start will be used to minimize heat related injuries. If a runner cannot finish the race before time to start the other, they will be pulled from the course to keep us on schedule.
Entry Fees: Make/Mail checks to MNHHS (address above), attn: MNHHS XC. Entry fees will also be accepted on race day.
Varsity 5k- $65 per team (boys/girls). $12.00 per individual if under 5 athletes.
Middle School- $45 per team (boys/girls) $10.00 per individual if under 5 athletes.
Elementary- $35 per team (boys/girls) $8.00 per individual if under 5 athletes.
Have entries submitted by August 23rd at 12:00pm.
Scoring: Races will be scored using Hy-Tek scoring. Cory Westerfield will be our official timer. Scores will be calculated by taking the scores of the top 5 runners, with number 6 being used for tie-breakers. Teams may enter as many runners in each race, but only the top 7 will count.
High School Boys & Girls- Trophies to the top 3 teams. T-Shirts will be given to the top 15 individuals in each race.
Middle School Boys & Girls- Trophies to the top 2 teams. T-Shirts will be given to the top 10 individuals in each race.
Elementary Boys & Girls- Trophies to the top 2 teams. T-Shirts will be given to the top 10 individuals in each race.
A certified athletic trainer will be on site before, during, and after the meet. He will be located behind the finish line.
NO PETS, per KHSAA rules.
