This is our 2nd Elementary meet. I will send out the PASSWORD to each Coach. The deadline to complete your entries is Tuesday, 5/4 at 5:00 pm. Each athlete is allowed to compete in up to 4 events. Unlimited entries are allowed per team.
Spectator Admission is $3 per individual. If possible please bring the correct cash. Wearing a Mask is Voluntary on your part. It is not required per guidelines sent out by the Governor.
Participating Athletes will pay a $3 participation fee to their Coach. Club Coaches please send me an email - firstname.lastname@example.org to provide information as to your payment method. Thank you in advance. BCPS coaches can pay by meet or pay at the end of all the meets.
We will have a COACHES MEETING at 5:00 at the Finish Line. The meet will begin at 5:15 with an Open Discus Throw and Open Long Jump. If possible have your participants to arrive this early so we can get the meet going. The Shot Put and TurboJav will begin at 5:30. Again it is open throws with no order of participants. The athlete needs to report to the event and get in line to throw. Coaches - Please bring your OWN equipment. I do not have Elementary equipment.
Running events will begin at 5:30. In all running events, Girls will go first and then the Boys. Here is our Order of Events:
100 meter dash
1600 meter run
4 x 100 meter relay
400 meter dash
800 meter run
200 meter dash
4 x 400 meter relay
3200 meter run for 4th/5th grades - Both Girls and Boys will compete at the same time.
The meet is being professionally managed by DC Timing. They do a great job with all the results. Having them here definitely provides for a faster ran meet.
For concessions we will have packaged Chips, Bars, Candy Bars and Candy. For drinks we will have Water, Soda and Sports drinks.
