Meet Information
West Jessamine will host our annual Elementary Derby Meet for grades K-6. We plan to begin at 6:00 PM.
Athletes can participate in a maximum of 3 events due to the shortened nature of the meet. Please make sure when you register that you enter your athletes in the correct DIVISION for their School Year.
Divisions - Grades K/1/2/3, and Grades 4/5/6.
Entry Limits - Each School can enter 3 athletes per gender per division in track and field events. Each School can enter one relay per gender per division in relay events. If you need to combine athletes on your team from different divisions for a relay that is allowed but the relay must compete UP in the higher division to keep the races fair (older athletes cannot race down).
Entry Fees - The entry fee for the meet will be $50 per gender team, or $100 maximum per school. Teams with less than 5 athletes will be charged $10 per athlete. Each school can enter a boys and girls team in both Divisions, essentially giving you 4 teams instead of 2.
Awards - will be given to the top 6 athletes in each division. Medals for the top finisher, and ribbons for places 2-6. Trophies will be given to the top 2 teams per gender in each division.
