McLean County All Comers 2 2021

Calhoun, KY

Meet Information

The meet will start at 5 p.m. with the Field Events.  Running events will start with the 4x800 meter relay at 5:30 p.m.  The timer will be providing bib numbers for all athletes to reduce contact at the finish line.  We will have fully automatic timing for this event.  Depending on number of contestants, we will run 4x800, 800, 1600, and 3200 boys and girls together.  There will be no substitutions for this meet.  Once athletes are entered, you can only scratch athletes.  This is to allow for the meet to run efficiently and allow us to keep people separated as per KHSAA protocols.

For field events, high jump will be jump to completion starting with the girls and each team will only be allowed two high jumpers.  For Long and Triple Jump, Jumper will do all three jumps at the same time, there will not be a rotation.  For Shot Put (if weather allows) and discus, you will get your first measurable throw measured.  After that, you must make a minimum distance to be measured (Shot Put 20 feet for girls, 30 feet for boys; discus 60 feet for girls, 80 feet for boys).

We will allow fans, but to do this, all teams will be assigned a space on the hill around the track.  Your team members must be in this space and not in the stands.  You will want to bring tarps to put stuff and kids on for the meet.  Fans will be in the stands.  Fans must wear mask at all times, except when actively eating or drinking and can only sit with family members together.  Otherwise fans should try to keep 6 feet apart.  There will be concessions at the meet.  Athletes, when not actively in an event, must wear a mask.  Please don't make me the mask Nazi!  Help me by encouraging your athletes and fans to follow the rules.

We will charge entrance to fan of $3 per person.

If you have questions, feel free to reach out to me by email (gary.morris@mclean.kyschools.us) or call the school at 270-273-5278.
