Meet Information
Fairdale High School is hosting an 8-team meet on the beautiful Horine Reservation atop Holsclaw Hill in Jefferson Memorial Forest. We have a gorgeous, wheel measured 5K course over varied terrian. This meet will be Tuesday afternoon, September 29, 2020, and was created out of necessity for JCPS schools, who have been restricted to compete in meets with a maximum of eight teams. Therefore, registration is only open to JCPS schools at this time. Please email nathan.gardner@jefferson.kyschools.us for the meet password. Due to limited parking, and to better adhere to COVID social distancing restrictions, we will have the Girls' Varsity and JV races at 4:00pm & 4:30pm respectively. We will have a one-hour intermission for spectators and vehicles to clear out and the Boys' Varsity and JV races will resume at 5:45pm & 6:15pm. Varsity and JV teams are limited to 10 runners, and each race will run in waves of 40 runners, 2 minutes apart. There is a $25 per team fee (boys and girls separate) to pay for the cost of using the park. There is no extra fee for JV entries. In order to reduce costs and make this race more accessible, it will be hand timed. Can't wait to see you on the hill!
