Meet Information

We would like to extend you an invitation to participate in the Inaugural All-Catholic Championship track and field invitational, hosted by Lexington Catholic. The event will take place on Saturday May 9, 2020 at Transylvania Universitys 4th Street Stadium beginning at 10am.

Our vision for this meet is to pit the best runners from across the Kentucky Catholic Schools against one another, head-to-head, to earn the title Catholic School Champion. Many of us compete against each other throughout the year at various meets, but NEVER has EVERY Catholic school in Kentucky been at the same meet. With the talent at our schools, we intend to make this one of the premier meets in Kentucky on an annual basis! Running this meet on the last weekend before the regional window opens also gives us one last opportunity to run our best against others best to prepare them for Regionals, and hopefully State.

We will contest all KHSAA sanctioned events. Each School will be limited to TWO athletes per running event and one relay team per school per relay. You may submit an alternate list of two additional athletes per event. Based on entries, we will fill events based on performances provided on the alternate list, and will notify you of any additions at least a week prior to the meet.

Cost is $100 per team (5 or more athletes), or $20 per athlete (if 5 or less from a school). There will be a gate charge for parents/ spectators.

Our rain-out date is Friday May 15th at 4pm.

Opening remarks and prayer will be provided by Bishop John Stowe, OfV Conv., Bishop of the Diocese of Lexington. We are coordinating with our local churches to provide holy communion on site for those who wish to receive it so you dont have to hurry home!

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and look forward to seeing you on May 9th. Please contact my meet director Jon Kovach at 859-489-5845 or j.kovach@live.com with your acceptance of this invitation or with any questions.

Sincerely,

Scott Theis
