Meet Information
Eastern will host the first annual Steeple-town Invitational directly following our Monday Meets in Middletown #3 HS All-Comers events.
This meet will contest the 2000m steeplechase open to any high school athletes. We will seed athletes based on mile times. This will be an outstanding opportunity to introduce athletes to the steeplechase for the first time or for athletes looking to gain experience in the event. Coaches are welcomed to enter athletes of any ability levels but only athletes with intent to genuinely compete in the steeplechase in a way that is serious and safe.
The events will follow our All Comers meet scheduled that day. We will not begin the steeplechase any earlier than 6:00pm and expect to begin sometime around 6:30pm. The Steeple-town Invitational will feature FAT live results with our timing partner DC Race Timing (www.dcracetiming.com).
Concessions will be available on-site.
We also encourage participants to consider enjoying dinner with our restaurant partner (tbd) who will donate a portion of your meal price back to the Eastern Track Boosters.
Entry Fee: $50 per school or $10 per athlete (for schools with fewer than 5 athletes). Entry is included for teams that are already participating in the All-Comers meet.
