Group Meet

The dates for the Westside Track Club Age Group Meets at Central High School Stadium, 1120 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd are Thursday, April 9, Thursday April 23, and Thursday, May 7. These meets are designed primarily for elementary and middle school athletes but any individuals (including masters & open athletes) are welcome to participate. Meet will begin at 5:30 PM.

The speed of the meet depends on every athlete having their own correct competitor number. You do not have to indicate events the athlete will compete. We will line them up at the starting line.No one is to use another athletes number. Athlete competitor numbers will be emailed the day before the meet. Athletes will be allowed admission to the park in uniform with their competitor number on their right hand. Email Hytek rosters or EXCEL spreadsheet to fmiklavcic2@gmail.com

Since this meet will be age groups instead of by grades, you will need to enter the athletes birthdate (month-day-year) in Hytek. The computer program will sort out results by age. Ages will be USATF age groups, based on the athletes age on December 31, 2020. Ages 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18.

They will go to the check-in area and the clerk will line up heats there. Age groups may run together, but results will be separated. Order of events each day will be100, 800, 4x100 relay, 400, 200, 1600, 4x400 relay, long jump(open pit) & shot put.(6#) (4kg boys 13-14 over)We will not use starting blocks. Enter as many as you want in each event. You can enter multiple relays also.Competitor numbers will be recorded at the start of the 100, and 200. All non-lane races will be recorded cross country style at the finish line. If athletes do not stay in line and get their number recorded, they will be disqualified. Depending on the number of entries in the 400, we may run a few heats in lanes, and the remainder on a waterfall start like the 800. 4x400 relay will use a two turn stagger and the #2 runner may break in on the first exchange as soon as they can do so without interfering.

Cost per team will be $40 for a girls team, $40 for a boys team. Individuals are $10 each. Athletes added on meet day will be charged $10.

Concessions will be available.

Long jump 3 jumps only, open pit for one hour. Shot put---3 throws

Everyone must remain in the stands if they are not competing in a specific event. The only exception will be those coaches who are officiating.

Teams will be provided with a garbage bag on the way in. Please clean up your area of the bleachers.

Athletes Release: In consideration of your acceptance of my entry into the Westsdie Age Group Meets, I voluntarily agree to participate in the Westside Age Group Meets and knowingly assume any and all risk of loss, damage, property loss, injury (including death), both foreseen and unforeseen, of my attendance at and participation in the Westside Age Group Meets from any cause whatsoever. I, for myself, my heirs, personal representatives and assigns do hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue USA Track & Field, Inc., the Kentucky USATF Association, Westside Track Club, Central Kentucky Track Club and Jefferson County Public Schools in which the Westside Age Group Meets are held (collectively Releases) from all liability, loss, claims, demands, possible causes of action, court costs, settlement costs and fees, attorneys fees and any other expenses arising from any claim or lawsuit that may arise from any loss, damage or injury (including death) to me or my property resulting from or arising in connection with, or related to, my attendance at or participation in the Championships. I/we grant permission to the Meet Directors or their designee or the assigned Chaperones of any USA Track & Field competition or program to act as guardian/spokesman with full authorization and power to authorize emergency medical treatment, including hospitalization and anesthesia, if medically necessary, for me while in route to/from or at the site of the Westside Age Group Met, competition or program. I/we understand that should a health emergency arise, I/we will be notified but if/we cannot be reached by phone such medical treatment as is deemed necessary by medical personnel under the circumstances presented is hereby expressly authorized.
