Lake Cumberland Runners Fall XC Invite
Lake Cumberland Runners would like to invite you to participate in our 3rd annual cross country invitational on Saturday, October 6, 2018. The meet will be held at Eubank City Park, just 15 miles north of Somerset, Kentucky. The course will feature a variety of terrain, including wooded areas, hills and fields, and has become a favorite of many! We are excited to offer elementary, middle and high school races. Please consider adding this meet to your schedule!
9:30 am - Varsity Girls & Boys** (5K) - $9 per individual/$45 max per team
**Varsity Boys & Girls will be scored separately.
10:15 am - MS Girls/Boys (3K) - $8 per individual/$40 max per team
10:45 am - Varsity Awards Ceremony
11:00 am - Girls 6th & Under (2K)
11:20 am - Boys 6th & Under (2K)
11:40 am - Girls 3rd & Under (2K)
12:00 pm - Boys 3rd & Under (2K)
Elementary fee- $7 per individual/$35 max
11:35 am - Kids Fun Run (.4 mi) - FREE - This is an untimed, unscored race for any little up and coming XC runners who would like to participate. This will take place while we are finalizing the results of the MS and Elementary races. All participants will receive a popsicle at the end of the race!
MS and Elementary Awards will follow Kids Fun Run.
**We will have a huge finish line clock!**
Awards/Scoring
Scoring will be via Hy-Tek.
Individual Awards will be given to top 10 individuals in each division, and will be handed out at the awards ceremony.
**A NOTE ABOUT ELEMENTARY AWARDS: Elementary team awards will be based on top 3 runners in the 6th & Under races. Top finishers in each race will receive individual awards.
Team Awards
1st and 2nd place awards will be given for Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, MS Boys, MS Girls, Elementary Boys, Elementary Girls. First 3 runners in each division will score.
Registration
Online registration is available now. Check-in and awards will take place under a large shelter to the left of the entrance of the park. Space near the start and finish lines will be available for tents.
Concessions/Merchandise
Plan to have lunch from our concession stand, which will include delicious items such as smoked pork BBQ from Zimmerman's Famous Pig, and a variety of other items! T-shirts will be available for purchase. If you love cross country as much as we do, then you will love these shirts, which feature our own original design!
Directions
Eubank, Kentucky is located approximately 15 miles north of Somerset. From US 27, turn WEST onto Ky Hwy 70. From there you will drive 0.4 miles and Eubank Park is on the right. If you need further directions, please feel free to contact us at the information given below.
