Video Interview with Bishop Brossart senior Troy Cooper Jonathan Grooms Jun 4, 2007

Interview with Troy Cooper after the Class A State Track Meet on Saturday at Paul Dunbar High School. He won two state titles in the Shot Put and Discus. He had personal best throws of 58-05.50 in the Shot Put and 166-03 in the Discus. Cooper will be competing for the University of Cincinnati next year.

Seaman Breaks Class A PV record Jonathan Grooms Jun 1, 2007

Bishop Brossart has a commanding 48-22 lead over Frankfort after Day One's action at the Boys Class A State Meet.  Bardstown senior Michael Seaman broke the Class A Pole Vault record of 14-06 with a vault of 14-07.  St. Henry and Bishop Brossart are at the top of the leader board in girls action.

KYtrackXC.com will be on site on Saturday taking pictures and video of the races.  Hopefully, KYtrackXC.com will cover most of the races in one of the two forms.   There will also be video interviews with the top performers on Saturday.  Check back Sunday evening for pictures and video.

Former Mason County and current University of Kentucky thrower Andy Fryman breaks down the favorites for each of the classes in this girls throws preview.  Andy won an SEC title in the Shot Put at the 2006 SEC Outdoor Championships.  Fryman is the Kentucky State Overall Discus Record Holder and Class AA Shot Put Record Holder.

Class AAA Boys State Meet Preview Jonathan Grooms May 31, 2007

As always Class AAA will finish up Friday and Saturday so it naturally will finish up the meet previews.  In track the team with the most depth will usually come out on top especially in the larger classes.  The key events on the boys and girls sides will probably end up being the relays where that depth is displayed.  Here are the Event of the Day, Record With the Chance to Fall, and Team Title Contenders for Class AAA Boys.
