Kentucky Invitational 2013

INDIANAPOLIS – Bellarmine University junior Robert Sandlin, Jr., and Saint Joseph’s College senior Joe Tooks have been named the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the 2013 season, it was announced by the league on Wednesday.  Sandlin was voted by the league coaches as the Track Athlete of the Week, while Tooks was tabbed as the Field Athlete of the Week.

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University sophomore distance runners Thijs Nijhuis and Ann Eason were honored by the Ohio Valley Conference on Tuesday for their performances at the Kentucky Invitational this weekend.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville track and field’s Edwin Kibichiy was named BIG EAST Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday.

LEXINGTON, Ky. –  The University of Kentucky track and field teams will open the 2013 home season with the Kentucky Invitational this weekend at the E.J. Nutter Field House. 

After officially opening its season more than a month ago, the University of Louisville track and field teams return to action Jan. 10-11 at the Kentucky Invitational in Lexington, Ky.
