Meet Information
Thursday evening Gordon Bocock will conduct a USATF Officials Certification clinic. This is the beginning of the new Olympiad and all officials need to be re-certified. There is a separate $25 fee for this clinic, payable to KY USATF.
Linda Sarrett will be set up in the Triple Crown Suite, room 101, for Hytek Meet Manager and Team Manager. Email her about a time Linda.sarrett@henry.kyschools.us She will be available both days but you will need to set a time for her no matter how long, that will work for you.
If you are staying at the Clarion, a free hot breakfast is included in the room rate.
Make sure you email me which meals you will be eating so I can plan with the caterer. Both lunches and the banquet are included in the clinic fee for those attending but I need to know how many will be eating so I don't end up paying for too many or not having enough food.
Jan Johnson's Pole Vault Certification classes will be at 3:25 Friday and 9:05 Saturday. The session is a two hour session. You can attend either of the sessions to qualify for the KHSAA PV certification requirement. Jan and Kevin Ferguson will also be providing information in other sessions about the latest in pole vaulting research and possible rules changes.
On Friday I have list "Summits" for different events in Man-O-War. These are not structured sessions but rather coaches roundtables, where coaches can get together and discuss these events. If someone is interested in leading these sessions, let me know.
Jonathan Grooms will be doing sessions on Online Registration through milesplit. Eastern Relays and the Meet of Champions has used Online Registration and we are looking at using online registration for the Mason-Dixon Games.
Attached are the 2012 awardees. Area Coaches of the Year will be presented during lunch on Saturday. Statewide Coaches and Athletes of the Year will be presented at the banquet at 3:00.
There will be WeatherWriters for sale for$30 as well as big rolls of Seiko/Sprint8 paper. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing the regular WeatherWriter so I can have enough stock. They retail for $36+ normally. The landscape WeatherWriter for HJ/PV is $51.
