KYtrackXC.com Top 12 of 2012: #4 James Quick Sets the Track on Fire in the 200m

KYtrackXC.com Top 12 of 2012

Below is the Top 12 Moments/Races of 2012.  This past year was quite arguably the greatest year in XC/Track history for the state.  Records were set across the board in track and XC.  KYtrackXC.com has sorted through some of the moments/races that really set the state on fire in a sense in 2012.

#4 James Quick Sets the Track on Fire in the 200m with a 20.94

James Quick (Trinity) did not literally set the track on fire, but it should have looked that way.  He came in as the favorite with Ronnie Baker (Ballard), but the race never happened as Quick came out of the blocks quickly and rolled.  His 20.94 finished 14th in the nation.  First athlete in Kentucky history to run sub 21 in the 200m.  That includes running faster than the fastest American ever Tyson Gay (Lexington Lafayette.)
