2011 Class A Boys XC State Champions
St. Henry's boys have won the Class A State Cross Country Championship for 10 years in a row, so the goal is simple always..... win again. This is a team that lost five seniors from last year but does return #1 Daniel Wolfer and a top middle school runner from year statewide, Josh Hannon. The team will be filling in the rest of the varsity spots starting with Robert Brockman who ran 2:03 in the 800m during track last spring. Michael Ridilla joins the team after competing at Ryle in middle school giving them another runner who will compete for a top 20 spot at the Class A State Meet. Jake Plummer, Andrew Smith, and Scott Wilson will all be asked to step up and fill out the varsity with one of them becoming a reliable #5.
Most of the distance crew did not complete full track seasons so they will have some building to do there, but Daniel Wolfer gives them an instant top five runner in Class A which will help bring the rest of the team along. The team is young but they are part of a system and with mainly sophomores and freshmen the team should develop in typical St. Henry fashion. If this team is able to continue the state championship win streak this fall, it will most likely be Coach Ernie Brooks best coaching job yet.

"We are a very young and eager team. These guys are excited about the opportunities ahead of them. Our top ten consists of one senior surrounded by a junior and several sophomores and freshmen."

"The goal for this team is to continue to get better throughout the course of the season and to put ourselves in contention come November. We only have two guys with any state meet experience so it should be really interesting."
"We will be attending The Tiger Run, Rumble Through the Jungle, Franklin County, Greater Louisville Classic and Lexington Catholic among others"
