LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Bellarmine University men's cross country team competed against some of the top competition across all collegiate divisions today at the 10th Annual Greater Louisville Classic held today at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park.

In the 29-team "Gold" field consisting primarily of NCAA Division I schools, the Knights posted a 15th place finish led by Robert Sandlin, Jr., with an 8K time of 24:58.84 which placed 52nd overall.  Less than 10 seconds back was Jordan Parayil, who ran in 25:07.31 and placed 63rd.

Bellarmine had five runners break the 26-minute plateau as Dominic Perronie (25:23.55), Neal Masterson (25:28.37), and Nate Dotterweich (25:48.67) all accomplished the feat.

The Knights, who rank 17th in NCAA Div. II, also competed in the "Blue" Division of the Greater Louisville Classic as nearly all Bellarmine runners got the chance to compete.  Injuries prevented several Knights to compete, including Alex Jones, who has been one of Bellarmine's top performers so far this season.
