NEW ORLEANS --- With their strong performances during the outdoor season, Bellarmine University track & field athletes Bryan Gennett and Ben Kolb have been named to the All-Midwest Region team by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA).

In the pole vault Gennett took home second place recently in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship clearing the bar at 4.87 meters. A junior from Indianapolis, his mark was a new school record and was the 21st best in the country.

Competing in the decathlon, Kolb burst onto the scene during his freshman year. He won the event at the GLVC Championship as he took first place in four of individual events on his way to 6330 points. His total set a new freshman and school record at Bellarmine and ranked 26th in the nation.
