This Week's Nominees:
Kaden John, Frederick Douglass (Kentucky): Won the 100m in 10.59 at the Class 3A KHSAA Track & Field State Championship, defeating a field of 22 runners. Also cleared 6-4 for third place in the high jump. The #2 junior in the state in the 100m and #1 junior in the high jump.
Miles Hayward, Tates Creek (Kentucky): Threw 57-10 to win the shot put at the Class 3A KHSAA Track & Field State Championship, topping a field of 21 competitors. Added a second-place finish in the discus with a mark of 152-10.
Nick Sanders, St. Xavier (Kentucky): Clocked 4:14.29 for second place in the 1600m at the Class 3A KHSAA Track & Field State Championship. Posted 1:54.28 in the 800m for a fourth-place finish.
AAron Ramey, Male (Kentucky): Cleared 6-8 to capture the high jump title at the Class 3A KHSAA Track & Field State Championship, defeating a field that included Kaden John who finished third at 6-4.
Kobey Yates, Marshall County (Kentucky): Ran 9:07.25 to win the 3200m at the Class 3A KHSAA Track & Field State Championship, pulling away from a competitive field of 22 runners.
