Apollo's Justin House Commits to UK

HOUSE COMMITS TO UK

Justin House, senior at Apollo High School in Owensboro has committed to run at the University of Kentucky next year.  House has been one of the best distance runners in his class since middle school.  He has one state championship in his high school career, which came when he was a member of the 4x800m Relay his freshmen year that ran a 7:59.56 to win Class AAA.

This past fall, he finished third this past fall in the 2010 Kentucky State Cross Country Meet after being out for his junior track season with an injury.  He will look to come to back with a vengeance this spring after being out last year.

KYtrackXC.com asked Justin why he chose UK and he said, “Most importantly it is a very good school academically. Coach Weber is also a very distinguished mid-distance coach and Coach Morgan has a great track record. They have also recruited a very strong freshman class for next season. So I am sure I will be able to excel at UK not only on the track but also in the classroom.”

He will join a strong freshmen group of Kentucky natives at the University of Kentucky including Robbie Scharold, Stacey Eden, Matt Hillenbrand, and Adam Kahleifah as well as Trinity senior Jake Wildenmann who has signed as well.
