Kayla Hill, senior at duPont Manual has agreed to compete for the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill next fall. She developed into one of the best middle distance runners in the state last spring finishing the year as the Class AAA Kentucky State Runner-up in the 800m Run. She ran a career best time of 2:15.51 in the process which ranks #6 All-Time in Kentucky. This past summer with high expectations for her senior cross country season she came up injured and was forced to sit out most of the season.
She has accepted the prestigious Kenan Music Scholarship at UNC and will focus on running and music. She will join fellow Louisvillain Emma Brink in Chapel Hill as well next year.
