 Kentucky New Balance Nationals Day One Action

 

Ann Eason (Sayre) placed 18th overall in the Girls 5000 Meter Run with a time of 17:53.74. This is her first time under 18 on the track.  She ran a 17:33 a few weeks back at the Anthem 5K in Louisville which was a road race.  The winner, Waverly Neer from Indiana ran a new national record time of 16:35.  She has signed to compete at Eastern Kentucky University next year.

Austin Carter (St. Xavier) placed 18th in the Emerging Elite One Mile Run with a 4:27.53.  The senior  has signed to compete at the University of Memphis next year.

The ladies of Assumption competed in the 4x800m Relay.  The placed 20th overall with a 9:49.38 which is the fastest time run in Kentucky this indoor season.  The foursome was composed of Ellen Marko, Caroline McCaslin, Emily Bean, and Melanie Strothman.
