Megan Zimlich - Louisville Ballard to University of Arkansas
Zimlich, a senior at Ballard High School in Louisville, Kentucky has signed to compete for the University of Arkansas next year. The Pole Vault/High Jump specialist has traveled extensively this winter competing in Ohio, Indiana, Nevada, and Kentucky. She has reached new heights with a best vault of 11-06. She finished second overall in the Pole Vault with a vault of 10-00 and sixth in the High Jump with a mark of 5-00 at the 2010 Class AAA Kentucky State Track Meet.
Zimlich commented that “I chose Arkansas because it has one of the top pole vaulting programs and I'm aiming to be the best I can be,” when asked about choosing Arkansas.
