INDIANAPOLIS – Bellarmines' Bryan Gennett (Indianapolis, IN., / Lawrence Central) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, and Southern Indiana's Dustin Emerick (Elmwood, Ill. / Elmwood) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week. 

Gennett, a junior, led the way for the Knights at the IU Hoosier Hills Open this past weekend. He posted a jump of 15-5.75 in the pole vault, which leads the GLVC. His mark came up three inches short of NCAA qualifying, but remains one of the nation's top 25 Division II efforts.

Emerick, a junior, finished in fourth-place in the 5,000m at the Grand Valley State Big Meet this past weekend. His time of 14:23.61 was a NCAA Provisional qualifying time. He is currently ranked 12th on the NCAA Division II national list.

Southern Indiana returns to action Feb. 25-26 when they will compete in the GLVC Indoor Championships in Somers, WI. Bellarmine is back in action on Friday when they travel to Angola, Ind. to compete in the Trine University Invitational.
