Hannah Cox signs with University of Louisville

Hannah Cox,  is a multi-sport athlete at Christian Academy of Knoxville, playing outside midfielder on two state championship soccer teams in addition to leading the CAK track and field team to a fourth place finish in the Tennessee State Championships for the school’s highest finish ever.

Hannah is a nationally ranked long jumper, qualifying for the 2010 USATF Nationals in both the long jump and the high jump and earning a spot on the First Team Milesplit High School Elite Track and Field Squad. She finished 11th out of a field of 80 national qualifiers in the long jump at the AAU National Junior Olympics in Norfolk last summer. In June, she began training with Olympic Gold Medalist Tim Mack to add the pole vault to her repertoire, but suffered a season-ending ACL tear in the winter during her training.

Hannah holds four school records at CAK in the long jump, triple jump, pentathlon and as anchor of the 4x200 relay. She was actively recruited by more than 20 Division I schools and chose the University of Louisville over Villanova, University of Kentucky and University of Virginia.
