LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's cross country team posted a 35th-place finish at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday with a score of 884.
NKU sophomore
Danielle Mercer completed the five-kilometer course in a time of 18:43.24, which was good for 112th place. Norse junior runner
Jerrica Maddox finished 174th with a time of 19:12.01.
NKU senior
Alisha Hansman posted a time of 19:12.43 and finished 176th, while teammate
Kayla Justice was 190th in a time of 19:31.21.
Grand Valley State won the team title with a score of 106, edging Vanderbilt by one point. Neely Spence of Shippensburg (Pa.) won the individual race with a time of 16:32.90.
NKU returns to action Oct. 15 at the Royal Cross Country Challenge in Charlotte, N.C.
