The NKU men's cross country team placed ninth at the Greater Louisville Classic.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University men's cross country team finished ninth at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday with a score of 298.
NKU sophomore
Joey Mueller was the Norse's lead runner for the second straight week, finishing the eight-kilometer race in a time of 25:34. Mueller's time was good for 15th place in the individual competition.
NKU junior
Ryne Smith finished 41st with a time of 26:07, while teammate
Brendan Chwalek was 63rd in a time of 26:18.90. NKU senior
Eric Dwyer finished 75th with a time of 26:26.30.
Marshall won the team title with a score of 131, while Bentley finished as runner-up with a total of 135. Matt Schiffbauer of Marshall won the individual title in a time of 24:45.60.
NKU returns to action Oct. 15 at the Royal Cross Country Challenge in Charlotte, N.C.
