Varsity Boys
Sean Hurd – Christian County
Hurd, a senior at Christian County won the Madisonville North Hopkins Invitational on Saturday with a 16:52. He defeated Justin House, helping to establish Hurd as a top runner in Kentucky. Hurd is currently ranked #3 in the KYtrackXC.com Class AAA Rankings.
Varsity Girls
Haley Layne – Fairview
Layne, an 8th grader at Fairview helped lead the Class A #2 ranked Eagles to the team title in the Class A/AA Varsity Race at the Geico Classic in West Virginia. She placed 8th overall with a 21:09 for the 5K. She is currently ranked #9 in the KYtrackXC.com Class A Rankings.
Middle School Boys
Trenton Fryman – North Oldham Middle School
Fryman, a 7th grader at North Oldham won the Middle School Boys 3K Race at the Shelby County Invitational. He had a winning time of 10:03.56. His victory helped lead North Oldham to the team title at Shelby County.
Middle School Girls
Kailey Dodd – Warren East
Dodd, an 8th grader at Warren East took home the Middle School Girls title at her home run the Raider Twilight Run with a winning time of 12:13.31. She crossed the line 28 seconds ahead of second place.
