INDIANAPOLIS-The All-Great Lakes Valley Conference team has been released for men's track and field with Bellarmine University distance runner Nathan Dotterweich (Monticello, Iowa, Monticello) being named to the first team.

The sophomore has qualified for next week's NCAA Division II Championship in the 3000 meter steeplechase. At the GLVC Championship, Dotterweich won the 1500 meter run and came in second in the steeplechase. A week later at the Cardinal Twilight meet, he ran the steeplechase in 9:01.48, the ninth fastest time in the country and a new school record.

Three Bellarmine athletes made the second team. High jumper Franklin Wathen (Owensboro, Ky, Owensboro Catholic) joined distance runners Josh Farmer (Muncie, IN, Delta High School) and Joey Blue (Waverly, KY, Reitz Memorial High School) earned second team honors. Wathen placed second in the high jump at the GLVC Championship while Blue and Farmer placed third and fourth respectively in the 800.

Dotterweich, Wathen, Farmer, and Blue make up a core group of athletes that all will return next season. The team scored the most points in the program's history in the GLVC Championship and finished in fourth place. Coach Jim Vargo expects every point scorer from this year's team to return to make an even better 2011 season.
