NASHVILLE, Tenn.--The Bellarmine University men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Boston Moon Classic hosted by Tennessee State University on Saturday evening.

The Knights had a number of outstanding performances, but Bryan Gennett pulled out the only event victory for Bellarmine, winning the pole vault by clearing a new school record 4.26 meters (14 feet).

Other outstaning events for Bellarmine included the men's and women's 800 and 1,500 meters, where multiple Knights finished in the top 10 in each event. Bellarmine also continued to be successful in the throws events--especially in the hammer, where Julia Zalewski and Alicia Dupilka finished second and third respectively and Wes Fahrenbacher took third on the men's side.

Bellarmine travels to Richmond to compete in Eastern Kentucky's meet on Friday, April 10.  The Knights then will host a co-ed track meet for the first time in school history on April 24.
