Top US Marks Highlight KYA HS Indoor Classic at Norton

The KYA HS Indoor Classic travelled to the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville this weekend and brought some pretty awesome marks. Highlighted by a US #1 by Caleb Winders in the 800m and backed up with local top talent, Grace Bethel, in the 60m and 200m. Here are our highlights from the meet for part 1 of the breakdown. Last indoor season, Grace Bethel sprinted her way to impressive personal bests, clocking 7.09 in the 55m and 24.48 in the 200m while competing consistently throughout the winter. She carried that momentum into the outdoor season, where she continued to drop times with an 11.77 in the 100m and a 24.12 in the 200m. Grace also tested herself against elite competition at New Balance Nationals Outdoor, racing to an 11.87 in the 100m and a 24.18 in the 200m on a national stage. Now she has picked up where she left off with a 7.38 in the 60m finals (7.44 in prelims) and 23.78 in the 200m (24.09 in prelims) to kick off her season.


Last indoor season, Caleb Winders delivered strong middle-distance performances, highlighted by a 1:18.48 in the 600m and a competitive 1:49.90 in the 800m against high-level fields. He also tested himself at major indoor meets, racing the mile in 4:38.49 while gaining valuable experience on a national stage. As the season shifted outdoors, Caleb continued his upward trajectory, running an impressive 1:46.85 in the 800m and a 4:21.30 in the 1600m. He started the 2026 indoor season off strong with his 1:49.66 which bested his mark from all of last season. He is on a good path right now as we start the indoor season.
