This weekend in Knoxville, TN at Victor Ashe Park, the Cross Country Coaches Youth National Championships (CCCNYC) will be hosted by a collection of coaches associations from across the region. With a rich history of high quality performances and focus on the athletes, CCCNYC brings their competition to Knoxville for the first time. Led by a strong Kentucky leadership contingent of Frank Miklavcic and Tim King, a collection of coaches associations aim to "enrich the lives and promote the health and well being of young runners across the United States." The meet has been hosted in a variety of locations to include Lexington, KY, Evansville, IN, Shelbyville, IN, Mason, OH, and more. The 2025 edition will be another year of amazing talent. The Kentucky Milesplit team will be there streaming the races live!

Race Outlook
With a meet like this, many of our typical Kentucky athletes are representing their club squads and join forces to develop a team that can represent on a national level. Teams from Kentucky include: Team Kentucky Elite, Body in Training, Louisville Tiger Sharks, and Grassroots Running Club.
On the individual side of things for the girls, Sterling Howard of Indiana will be running after she took home the 3000m championship last weekend in Louisville at the Middle School XC Nationals.
For the boys, Colton Gaddis was the 2000m champion last week at the Middle School XC Nationals and will be travelling from Missouri for the race this weekend. Also, Ben Ruppert was the 3000m champion this past weekend and will look to earn another title this weekend in Knoxville.
Teams that you will want to watch for include Brocaw Blazers, Philadelphia CYO, and Knoxville Youth Athletics as they traditionally have strong showings at this meet.
