LOUISVILLE, KY-The Great Lakes Valley Conference released its 2010 All-Conference selections for indoor track and field, and the Knights were well represented. Bellarmine placed five women on the first team and three others on the second team.
Freshman Erin Dwenger earned first team honors for her second place finish in the pole vault when she cleared 3.35 meters. The distance medley relay team of Lindsay Boyce, Molly Culberston, Kelsey Love, and Carissa Martin earned themselves a place on the first team with their victory in the event. Their time of 12:25.32 narrowly missed the school record.
Cristin Samuels earned second team honors with a second place finish in the 3000 meter run. She also had a 10th place finish in the 5000 meter run. Joining Samuels on the second team were Freshman Hayden Kelly and Senior Alexandra Wolfe. Kelly finish second in high jump with a jump of 1.64 meters. Wolfe finished third in the triple jump with a school record jump of 10.83.
The Knights begin the outdoor portion of their season when they travel to Hanover College on March 27th.
