Sarah Ferguson is the best high school female pole vaulter the state of Kentucky has ever seen. The senior from Lafayette vaulted 14 feet at the Oldham County High School Field Only Meet and set the bar as high as it has ever been set in our state. She started that journey when she transitioned from a dancer to a vaulter in her freshman year. She has won the state championship every year that she has competed (2020 was canceled).
Looking forward to the state meet this week, Sarah knows she has not hit her peak yet and does not have a set height in mind. Mike Garcia caught up with Sarah to talk about her plans for state and how she has become the best high school pole vaulter in Kentucky
