Beavercreek Invite - GWOC No. 4 Meet Recap

(Girls Varsity Division Race)

The Beavercreek XC Invitational on Saturday was the last regular season GWOC matchup of 2020. This meet was held at the NCAA Elvin R. King cross country course at Cedarville University.

The girls varsity race kicked off the morning with the senior from Beavercreek, Juliann Williams, remaining undefeated for the season. Finishing with a time of 18:22.10, Williams secured her win with a 21 second gap over Springboro's Cara Mooney who would finish with a personal best of 18:43.80 as the runner-up. Following her teammate, Sophia Bruhn came in 3rd place with a personal best of 19:16.0. The Beavercreek ladies had their entire top 5 finish with sub-20 efforts and finished first place with 24 points over Springboro with 38.

The Beavercreek men won the day with 25 points over Centerville's 64. Connor Ewert, a senior from Beavercreek, continued his undefeated season with a time of 15:34.60. He was followed by his two teammates Keegan Souhan and Ryan Massie with times of 16:03.40 and 16:14.0, respectively. All three boys finished with personal best 5k efforts.

The next GWOC event will be in two weeks at the GWOC 2020 Championship to be held at Northmont High School. The GWOC teams are excited to finally join the rest of Ohio's top talent as they compete in the OHSAA post-season tournament.
