#5 - DK Schnieders - Holy Cross (Louisville)
I am sure many of you are looking at this one and thinking, "You are telling me the defending Class A state champion is #5 on the list?". Welcome to the randomness that is cross country. DK definitely asserted himself as the power in Class A early and often in the 2019 XC season. He proved that with a 12-second win over second place (and #2 on this list) Connor Hayes.
DK's lowest finish of the regular season was a 9th place finish at the Nike Valley Twilight Invitational against some of the best in the Midwest. Otherwise, he dominated the field in all post-season competition in Kentucky and continued that run at the Cross Country Coaches National Youth Championships. DK was ready for a title track season as well and will get that chance soon (hopefully).
