KHSAA COVID-19 Fall Sports Update

July 10, 2020- Today, the KHSAA Board of Control met to discuss and vote on the next steps toward Fall sport activities. Overall, there were no significant steps taken towards or away from the resuming of high school athletic competition.

Limited practice of 50 people or less will still be allowed until the Boards next convergence on July 28th where they will address August and possibly further. One rule the that is being put into effect is a 6 hour practice limit which will also be revisited a the next meeting.

The overall goal according to KHSAA Commissioner Julian Tackett is "starting school on time...We want to minimize exposures."

The main thing taken away from this meeting is that no sports have been postponed or outright cancelled, which is a positive for the hopes of Fall competition across all sports.
