This morning, another one of Kentucky's top cross country/distance runners made his college decision official. Jonah Mitchell will be staying in the Bluegrass state and join the Kentucky Wildcats as they continue to pick up some of the top in-state runners year after year. Mitchell was the 2019 Class 3A 3200m State Champion as well as the runner up at the 2018 3A Cross Country State Championships.
Mitchell touts some very impressive Personal Records across multiple distances as he typically fares better in the longer distances. This year Mitchell held the fastest 5k in the state with a 15:15 at his home race Mustang Stampede while his 3200m PR came at the 3A State Championships where he killed the field running 9:19.21.
