Langston Jackson had his best indoor mark at the UK High School Invite where he matched up against some of the best in the country. He will get a chance at a rematch at NBN.
The Kentucky contingent heading to New York for the 2019 New Balance Indoor Nationals covers all corners of the state while also integrating in all of the disciplines. Sprinters are the highlight of the group from Kentucky. Current US #4 in the 60m, Langston Jackson, will be competing in the championship race. US #6 in the 400m, Josiah Taylor, will throw down with some of the best in the nation.
Our top female sprinter from last outdoor season, Kaleb McDonald, is entered in the 60m Emerging Elite, 200m Championship and 400m Emerging Elite. She will have some company in New York with Rosalynd Hollingsworth in the 60m championship as the Eastern Carolina commit looks to round out her indoor season with a solid showing at the national championship.
The field events will be well represented with US #4 Christian Lewis competing in the long jump championship. Marion C. Moore's Joseph Palmer will be the KY representative in the triple jump as he comes in with a US #22 in that event.
The name to watch is Jywan George of Lexington Traditional Magnet School in the middle school mile. He was a one man wrecking crew at the KTCCCA Indoor State Championship, and looks ready to go for his first national showing.
