Christian Lewis is Class of Returning Kentucky Long Jumpers

Christian Lewis already got the 2019 season off to a great start with a US #5 mark (at the time) of 23'9.25" at the Wildcat Classic

As we embark on the outdoor track and field season, we are going to break down all 14 individual events for the boys and girls across the state. Not only will you find the overall rankings, but also who leads each of the three classifications (A, AA, & AAA) but also who are the top athletes in each graduating class (2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022). Can you believe it? Outdoor season is coming soon!

Last outdoor season was a coming out party for Christian Lewis at the newly minted Frederick Douglass High School. He placed first in every outdoor meet with the exception of the Fayette County Championships when Michael Iwimerin of Lafayette out-jumped him by nearly a foot (it was also Lewis' shortest jump of the season). Throw in Rayne Jones of duPont Manual and we will have an exciting long jump competition all season long!
