What was your most memorable meet and why?

The Saturday Night Lights meet in Centerville, Ohio. Centerville comes to mind because it was the first time I PRed since freshman year which was very exciting but on top of that it was just nonstop fun. I had the best time with the team.

Where did you face your biggest competition?

My biggest competition was the 2018 state meet. I had never run state before and there were so many talented runners.

Out of all of your high school accomplishments which stands out the most and why?

My biggest accomplishment was finally meeting my goals of running state and setting a PR this year.

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

Nothing.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

I didn't always meet my goals which was hard to accept.

What will you miss the most?

My teammates who happen to be my best friends and the family dynamic of the team.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?

Have fun. It'll be over before you know it and you won't remember the time you didn't PR or when someone out-kicked you. You'll remember the fun and exhausting overnight trips, the deep conversations during long runs, dancing at the starting line to keep warm, and you'll miss it like crazy.

What are your post-high school or college plans?

I'm not certain. Maybe I'll run for a club or something. Regardless, running will always be a part of my life.

Who would you like to say thank you to?

I'd like to thank my parents, who have been right by my side every step of the way; my coach, who turned me into the runner I am today and taught me how to be a good leader; and my team; who have become my family. I adore them. They inspire me everyday and I have no idea how I'm going to survive without them next year.
