What do you think of the change to the corresponding dates to extend the track and field season?
The KHSAA released its corresponding dates for the upcoming track and field seasons through 2021-2022. The biggest change is the standard date for the state meet being moved to the weekend following Memorial Day weekend each year. There is also a two week window for the regional meets to be contested in order to " alleviate many graduation conflicts with the full realization that in some years, based on weather and other situations, all conflicts cannot be eliminated."
This is a stark difference from the last couple years where the outdoor season has concluded before (or on) Memorial Day weekend.
