David Jacobs leads a solid pack of Shelby County returners.
Shelby County is led by a solid group of seniors up front in David Jacobs, Matthew Paverd, Kory Eades, and Tyler Bates. After a third place finish last year, this Senior-heavy group just needs to round up a 5th man to have a great chance of capturing their first state title since 1990. Warren East, led by Junior Jacob England, along with Lexington Catholic will be hunting the Shelby County crew.
North Oldham returns the state meet 3rd place runner in Alex McClarty.
Defending champions North Oldham are hurt by the loss of the Juggernaut Trenton Fryman and 2 additional scorers from last year's state meet, but they are led by perhaps the favorite to take home the state title this fall in Alex McClarty. North Oldham's ability to develop runners along with their low stick in McClarty could result in a team that surprises some people this fall under new head coach Brian Crumbo.
