Girls Sprints

60 meters

National Leader and multi-time state champion Cassondra Hall of Georgia did not disappoint in the Girl's 60 meter dash. Hall's time of 7.39 in the finals is only 0.03 seconds off her national leading mark set earlier this year and topped a field that took an impressive 7.67 to make the finals. Following Hall was a deluge of talent that saw 5 girls enter into the U.S. top 50 rankings at U.S. #9 (Tonea Marshall, TX),  U.S. #16 (Sekayi Beacey, MI), U.S. #20 (Zion Lewis, GA), U.S. #40 (Stephanie Davis, DC), and U.S. #40 (Danyel White, TX).

200 meters

Cassondra Hall was at it again in what proved to be an incredibly competitive Girl's 200 meter field. Hall's 23.73 out of Heat 1 was enough to take the win and put her at the U.S. #2 position. Closely behind Hall in Heat 1 was Brandee Johnson of Virginia and Lynna Irby of Indiana, whose runs put them at U.S. #5 and U.S. #8, respectively. Beyond that was an incredible 9 more girls entering the U.S. top 50 ranks out of multiple heats (U.S. #18, #26, #29, #30, #37, #41, #42, #42, and #50). Wow.

400 meters

Taylor Miller of Michigan took home the Girl's 400 meter title with her run of 54.59 out of Heat 2. Her sub-55 performance launched her to the U.S. #3 position. Following Manson was Virginia's Syaira Richardson and Illinois freshman Dajour Miles, who entered the national lists at U.S. #10 and U.S. #15 respectively. Miles' impressive performance was the second fastest time among freshmen in the country this year while Michigan freshman Janae Barksdale's 10th place finish places her as the third fastest among the nation's freshmen.  Outside of the top 3 finishers, 6 other girls entered the national lists at U.S. #17 (Paris Perkins, TN), U.S. #27 (Falicia Phillips, TN), U.S. #30 (Samara Miller, IL), U.S. #35 (Venida Fagan, GA), U.S. #37 (Janae Barksdale,  MI), and U.S. #47 (Breanna Phillips, IN).

60 meter Hurdles

Virginia's Brandee Johnson was over all hurdles cleanly in the final to take the win with her 8.46 performance. The win places her at U.S. #9 on the season and upset the prerace favorite and U.S. #2 runner Tonea Marshall. As with all events at the meet, the remainder of the field was full of talent and impressive performances. Johnson was followed by U.S. Top 25 runners Breanne Bygrave of North Carolina, Tonea Marshall of Texas, and newly minted U.S. #24 Taryn Milton of Texas.
