Former Owensboro Sprinter Casey Combest runs Top 5 National time 6.27 55 Meter Dash

Former Owensboro Sprinter Casey Combest ran a time of 6.27 seconds in the 55 Meter Dash Open Race of the KTCCCA Indoor at the opening of the newly revamped US Bank/Mason County Indoor Track Complex. This performance was good enough to be top five nationally for 2008. Combest still holds the National High School Record for the 60 Meter Dash. He is attempting a comeback after nearly six years away from competition.

duPont Manual senior Gerry Cooper highlighted the high school races with a victory in the 55 Meter Dash (6.34) and 400 Meter Dash (53.47.) Holmes won the boys team title and Rockcastle County was victorious on the girls side.
