In a early season Class AA battle defending State Champion North Oldham defended their home meet's honor with a 26 point victory. Two Class AA opponents Webster County and Warren East both traveled over two hours to challenge the defending champs. They finished 4th and 6th overall on the day. Local Class AA rival Shelby County was the closest in 2nd place. North Oldham senior Trenton Fryman opened his season with a victory in 16:22 to set the pace for North.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Lacy of Male accomplished the same with the overall win and leading Male to the team victory. She outlasted North Oldham senior Erin Edmundson by 15 seconds to win with an 18:28.
