12 Answers to Recap the Most Exciting KY State Meet EVER

Question #1: Shall the Class A Record Fall?

Answer #1: Yes, it Did

Caroline Gosser (Presentation) rolled to the Class A State title finishing with a 18:12.40 yesterday.  Shortly after the half mile mark, Gosser and Karly Gawarecki (Holy Cross) had broken away from the rest of the field running side by side.  Gawarecki helped push the pace until the hill in the second paddock when Gosser broke away as well.

The previous top mark for Class A of 18:25 by Maddox Patterson (Sayre) went down.  This race helped me learn something; the KHSAA has not been recognizing Class records for XC like they do in track.  Early discussion with the KHSAA seems to favor having class records set up for next year.  Either way, Gosser the senior leaves high school with the fastest Class A time on record at the Horse Park since 2009.
