AAA Boys Race

Nine of the Top 10 teams in Class AAA will be in the Large School Race Saturday.  This will be a rematch between Trinity, Cooper, and St. Xavier.  They all last saw each other at the Trinity Invitational on September 20th with Trinity taking the top spot among Kentucky teams beating then #1 St. Xavier.  At Great American on October 4th St. Xavier and Cooper saw each other with Cooper beating the Tigers on team points in the Race of Champions.  But the large size of the race played well for Cooper with their strength up front.  Factoring in only Kentucky schools and St. Xavier would have beaten Cooper head to head.  All of this being said, the team race Saturday will be AWESOME!  The big three will battle on the state meet course.

But it is not just the big three up front.  The battle behind them will be intense with only four weeks to go before the state meet.

Individual Race

18 of the Top 20 will be there with only Robert Rupp (North Hardin) and Sam Smith (Pulaski County) missing.  This race will really help shape how the post-season could potentially look.  AAA Boys is a coin toss, take to bring it boys.

Class A/AA Boys

This race is stacked with most of the top teams in Class A & AA this fall.  Class AA #1 North Oldham comes in as the favorite and will be helped by the addition of the Class A runners has their depth will help stretch their lead.  They are led by junior Trenton Fryman, currently ranked #2 in Class AA and two other runners in the top 6 in Class AA (David Terkula #5 and Alex McClarty #6.)  They will be challenged by the best in Class A with #1 St. Henry charging after them.  St. Henry's Josh Hannon should be near the front group and will lead another team with depth up front. St. Henry will have their eye on #2 Bishop Brossart who has been right on their heels in their usual back and forth throughout the northern Kentucky racing season.

Class AA #2 Highlands will be without #1 Ethan Shuley hurting their chances to challenging North Oldham in the race.  This will be a chance for some squads to jump up and grab the third spot in both Class A and AA.

Individual Race

Class A #1 Eric Baugh will face off with #2 Matt Bode for the first time this season.  Bode, the defending Class A State Champion won big last time he was on this course last November.  This should be a great battle.  Class AA #2 Trenton Fryman should be right there in the mix with a solid #3 Chas Warden challenging to try to get in the mix in preparation for state.
